2013—record-breaking year in Japan
winning 7 Golds in a row, international (WQS) & domestic (JPSA) tours combined.
2015—became the one & only pro surfer assigned to the ISA Delegation in their bid for surfing to be included at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, participating as one of the official speakers at the ISA's historic presentation to the Japan Olympic Committee.
2017—created revolutionary surf festival 'FunTheMental', so well-received that it has grown by popular demand into a much-anticipated yearly event.
2018—appointed as Captain of Japan’s National Surf Team 'Naminori Japan', for the ISA World Surfing Games in Tahara, leading team to 1st ever Gold for Japan in ISA history.
2020—appointed as Coach for Japan's National Surf Team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, leading team to 2 medals at history's inaugural Surfing Olympics (Men's—Silver & Women's—Bronze); Japan being the only nation to win more than 1 medal in the sport.
2022—appointed as Coach for Japan’s National Surf Team 'Naminori Japan', for the ISA World Surfing Games in Huntington, leading Men's team to yet another Gold.
2023—appointed as Chairman of Japan's National Surf League (S.League) by the Japan Pro Surfing Association (JPSA)
2024—appointed as Head Coach for Japan's National Surf Team at the 2024 Paris Olympics
